The Department of Health is running a series of webinars about the reforms planned for aged care in Australia.
The next webinar in the series will discuss how these reforms will deliver aged care improvements for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
What will the webinar cover?
The webinar will discuss how the planned aged care reforms will:
- involve Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in designing their services and care
- deliver services and care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people wherever they live
- employ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to support more culturally secure services.
An Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander aged care worker will also share her experience of working in aged care with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and what the aged care reforms mean to her.
We will ask you to share your thoughts on how we can best work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, health services, aged care providers and workers to make positive changes.
