The Department of Health is holding a webinar series about aged care reform in Australia. The next webinar will focus on how these reforms will improve quality of life and care for people living with dementia.
The ‘A focus on dementia’ webinar will take place on Wednesday, 21 July 2021. If you are living with dementia, or work with or care for someone who is, we'd love you to join us.
What will the webinar cover?
Dementia Australia CEO, Maree McCabe, will join senior experts from the Department of Health to discuss how the aged care reforms will ensure people living with dementia are:
- connected with the support they need post-diagnosis
- enabled to remain in their home for longer
- able to access high quality, dementia informed aged care services.
We will also hear from a woman who is caring for her mum who is living with dementia. She will discuss her experience and give her thoughts on the new reforms.
Participants will have the opportunity to share ideas on how we can best work with people living with dementia, their carers and aged care providers and workers, to make positive changes.
