Information if you’re not sure ‘Where to start?’

If you are just starting out on your aged care journey, the ‘Where to start?’ landing page can help.

You can see what services are available to help you stay in your own home, or what to expect in an aged care home. You can also find out if you’re eligible and how costs work.

Visit ‘Where to start?’

Discover what services are available with the Help explorer

If you would like some aged care support but don’t know what type of help is available, the Help Explorer is for you. This tool helps you to learn about the different types of aged care services that exist.

You can learn about services by:

  • Reading stories about people who have accessed aged care and the types of services that helped them.
  • Viewing a service list which explains the types of services available and how they work.

Visit the Help explorer.

Improvements to how you compare providers

The Find a provider tool supports you to search for government-funded aged care providers in your area that suit your needs. We know this is an important tool and we regularly update it based on feedback from website users.

This month we have improved the way you compare providers you’re interested in.

From today you can now save up to eight providers to your shortlist at a time (it was previously three). We’ve also improved how you compare different providers on your shortlist, making it easier to find the right aged care provider.

Visit Find a provider.
