New and improved Fee estimator

We’ve improved the Fee estimator to make it easier to understand what you might need to contribute towards a Home Care Package or a place in an aged care home. We’ve included more helpful information on what gets included when we’re working out your contribution, tips on understanding your estimate, and what to do next.

Try the new Fee estimator.

Make a referral updates

We have made improvements to the Make a referral tool to make it easier for hospital staff and providers to refer patients or clients for an aged care assessment. With the new tool, once you have entered your contact details, you won’t need to repeat them for every new referral you make. The time-out has also been extended, so if you get interrupted during a referral, you won’t lose all the information you have entered – unless you are away from the tool for more than 60 minutes.

Use the new Make a referral tool.

New video on how to use the Online Account

A video on how to use your Online Account (previously known as the Client Portal) is now available on the View your Online Account page. If you’re a My Aged Care client or represent someone who is, this video guide is for you. It explains how to access your Online Account through myGov along with instructions on how to use your Online Account.

Easier and faster access to the Online Account through myGov

My Aged Care clients and representatives will no longer need to call My Aged Care before accessing their Online Account. Through a new self-registration process, clients and representatives can confirm their identity online and then link their myGov account to their My Aged Care record themselves. After completing this process, they will be able to access their Online Account. You will only need to complete this process once.

Instant uploads of documents for assessors and providers through the Online Account

My Aged Care clients and representatives will now be able to specify whether a document uploaded to the Online Account is intended for an aged care assessor or a service provider. These documents will be instantly available for assessors and providers to view, without processing delays. Sensitive documents for assessors, such as clinical notes, can also be marked to limit who may view the document. Documentation to appoint a representative will continue to be processed by My Aged Care.

Get detailed information on the new process in the Online Account Guide for Documents guide.
