The first COVID-19 vaccine has been approved for use in Australia by the Therapeutic Goods Administration. This means people in Australia will soon have access to a vaccine that will help keep our communities safe from COVID-19.
If you are a resident or worker in an aged care home, you are in the first group of people who can choose to get the vaccine.
Australians 70 years of age and older and in-home and community aged care workers will have access to the vaccine in phase 1b of the national roll-out.
More information, including translated information, is available on the Department of Health website.
